The training course will provide an opportunity towards bringing together different cultures, raising awareness and creating a more accepting and friendly collaboration both on national and international levels. Participants will develop new friendships while at the same time establish partnerships for future projects.
Since trainers and participants will be coming from different European and Mediterranean countries, they will gain a better understanding of each others’ different backgrounds – in itself being an exercise in intercultural learning. All stakeholders will be expected to interact during the workshops, as well as in their free time, thus exchanging information about their countries, beliefs, lifestyles and cultures.
Some of the workshops themselves will revolve around issues related to intercultural learning, as well as diversity, racism and xenophobia.
Furthermore, an integral part of the project will be an intercultural evening where participants will have the opportunity to share traditions, food and general information about their respective country in an informal setting.
Cultural visits will be a fundamental component of the programme. During the training course, participants will explore and experience the rich Maltese historical and cultural backgrounds through outdoor activities.
